Signs
- Honey colored mushrooms, bulb shaped or flat topped
- Sheets
of white mycelium under bark of roots and root collar
(look under ground)
- Black rhizomorphs-shoestring-like, under
bark
General
- invades root collar
- some are virulent, others opportunistic
- must have root
to root contact to transfer
- spores are not a source
of infection
Control
- Promote vigor, minimize stress, remove old stumps and
roots, remove soil around infected roots to allow drying
out.
