Azalea 'Cannon's Double'

This extremely hardy selection provides a massive display of pale yellow flowers with deep pink veins. Double blooms! Foliage has a soft red tint all summer. The smaller mounding form is excellent for massing in shrub borders.

Signs

  • Honey colored mushrooms, bulb shaped or flat topped
  • Sheets of white mycelium under bark of roots and root collar (look under ground)
  • Black rhizomorphs-shoestring-like, under bark

General

  • invades root collar
  • some are virulent, others opportunistic
  • must have root to root contact to transfer
  • spores are not a source of infection

Control

  • Promote vigor, minimize stress, remove old stumps and roots, remove soil around infected roots to allow drying out.

Robinia pseudoacacia 'Twisty Baby'®
